The G.A.H.E. Three-fold Idealism - "Ex", "El", and "Lentia"

Excellence is the quality of being outstanding or extremely good in different aspects of life. This is what the world understood about it on their standards. This is true however, but not every time.

The word excellence is derived from the Latin word "excellentia" which means “the quality of being extremely good”. It is an art won by training and habituation. The Latin word is not telling a lie, that is the dictionary meaning. But digging deeper to the meaning of "excellentia" we came upon three words worthy of study.

The first word is "ex", the second is "el" and the third one is "lent." The first word describes a leader that need to "ex" or get outside the box. He or she may guide others, but better so, to lead others. Leading the way outside the box is one of the ideas of G.A.H.E. Is this not what our very own Her Excellency Ambassador Dr. Emee Saplada posited? That is why, along the way, she created projects that boost the spirit of exploration, discovery and development among the youth?

Secondly, being excellent is not just being good all by ourselves. For all these gifts and talents is inherent to us by our Creator. The word "El" means "God". There is a higher ideal in doing what we are doing. We may bring all our time, treasure and talents to everyone, to the globe, but we believe that all of these are nothing with the higher authority guiding and leading us. Through the spiritual guidance of His Excellency Reverend Dr. Bonifacio Frane, the GAHE members are sure to uphold to this ideals.

And lastly, the word "lentia" means "under control". The world need leaders who are able to achieve the goal. We excel because of the leadership of Her Excellency Prof. Dr. Jovylyn Simoy Espalabra, the founder of the Philippines' foremost international professional organization and the education hand of the Asian University International. With her leadership, we are sure to bring the golden era of G.A.H.E leadership to our country and the world through the United Nations.

Today, we are looking forward a wonderful and amazing future with all the qualified members of the institution. We uphold to the ideals of "ex", "el" and "lentia" - that is, excellentia.

Leadership is not just a title, a position, or a power; more so, it is giving birth to human excellence.
