Just a point of interest.
Had the masters lift a word in a debate?
We know only a bit of a percentage about religion, and almost a bit of a bit about God. Even people who studied at the seminary and theological institutions will say the same. The more of that but is known, a huge block of questions stopped the former.
If we just forget about our debates and look for an interactivity in the exploration of truth, may be we will one day create a better place where indifference happen only among the close minded.
If we will just kneel down to the God, who made us, and not to the one made up, there will be a lasting peace.
Jesus Christ or Mohammed, Buddha or Zoroaster, there will be no difference. If we will just follow the dictate of our hearts, the goodness God naturally placed there, and use this as the key of knowing God....then we will stop debates, arguments, and other matters that destroy humanity because of certain people's beliefs.
We are praising God, just like Israel, but disclaim the Samaritans. We keep on building our temples but keep in destroying people's dignity just to protect secrets. We keep on establishing radio stations to air our hypocritical claims.
We are all human here: no "God" or "Son of God" lives with us today. We are all human, all prophecies of the Jews were fulfilled in the Messiah Christ, all the messages of Allah was revealed into the prophet Mohammed, all Buddhist Creed's were reflected in the life of Gautama.... What is wrong with that?
God is teaching in all generations, in all history. In the time of Buddha, although God is not existent, God talked talked to them through nature, cosmic awareness and consciousness. In the time of Jesus, the mystery of Godhead is revealed not through nature, but the transference of Divinity into that nature. In the time of the prophet Mohammed, God revealed himself as Allah, the most Merciful and Compassionate ....
If we just learn the peaceful hearts if these masters we will follow them... Their teachings is about LOVE, and it does not change a bit.
But since we only know a bit of a percentage, we crave for degrees rather than understanding. We grasp for religious Creeds and doctrines rather than wisdom. Finally, we think we are already holy, when in fact we are just paupers begging something that may make us look different from the rest of the world.
Amen.
