Life has no exact definition if you try to see it in different perspectives. It will lead you to different realizations. Many of us pass by through different life transformation and faces different life scenarios. Some of us are said to be born with a golden spoon in their mouth, some really don’t know how to appreciate what life is because of the hardships, and the difficulties they experienced. But come to think of it not all of us are blessed with the life we desire, but it doesn’t mean that we should not be grateful for this gift.

Dr. Catherine Comandante Sangil, CPA was born premature, 6 months in the womb to be exact, together with her twin brother who unfortunately didn’t saw light. Dr. Catherine was left in the hospital incubated, so she could survive. According to the doctors if she will survive she will not have a normal life, she may become autistic, and her brain will be greatly affected. God’s plan in a different ways — she grew up to be a normal and productive young girl. Although she lives in isolation because of some health problems her parents support her and made herself busy and from there her artistic side was develop. While she was growing up, she dreamt of having an institution that will show how grateful she is to GOD. Who would believe that the baby girl who was said to have mental problem became a Topnotcher in the CPA Board Exam.

Seeing the beauty of LIFE, Dr. Catherine was able to start HIS Art Gallery. This art gallery became her soul mate and strength. She reached out to kids and taught them different art forms to make this young ones’ productive. From kids to teens, she inspired them to be good individuals with morals and shared her talents in arts. She continued her love for humanity by feeding street children and educated them. She even dared to go to bars or clubs just to help young girls be taken out of the prostitution dens. Likewise, she helped prostitutes by giving seminars and training for them to change their lives in the training center started by Dr. Catherine. All these were realized through HIS Art Gallery. Her heart is really devoted to help to humanity from art classes, educating the less fortunate, to giving academic scholarship to less privilege students who are intelligent and willing to uplift their lives — from one, two, three scholars now they reached to 100 beneficiaries and continue to grow in number. The simple HIS Art Gallery now becomes more of a foundation to reach for more individuals who needed assistance and care.

HIS Art Gallery became the strength and financier of Dr. Catherine and became her partner in her endeavor to affect the humanity. Whatever she earns from conducting Art workshop is used for her different humanitarian activities. The gallery offers art classes in dancing, music, radio & TV broadcasting and many others, which are held in different malls. Most of the time mall officials are requesting her to conduct Art Workshops, which attract more people. Aside from running and managing the art gallery she is also commissioned to be a print ad model in different countries such as Hong Kong, Macao, and Portugal where of course her talent fee was also used as a part of her humanitarian works. At present her dedication and love for humanity made her name as the Ambassador of Visual Arts of Global Academy for Human Excellence. With or without recognition, she wishes to continue her lifelong dream of bringing HIS Art Gallery to all as her way of appreciating her God-given life.
